Creation process

Creating HOVADUR® Alloys

Recharging during the melting process is carried out via a lock chamber. Once the melting process is finished, the alloy is cast into one or several molds. This is done completely under vacuum.

Since no air is present during this procedure, we achieve a very high purity and quality of the alloys, and we also eliminate any negative environmental influences.

Our modern production with “Rundstangen FIX” will bring about substantial benefits for you:

Fast:

The forged round bars are quickly available. The forged structure increases the quality of the parts you are machining without increasing delivery times.

Precise:

We are now able to produce round profiles in a range of Ø15-80 mm in all intermediate, closely gratuated sizes (e. g. Ø 19,5 mm; Ø 23,7 mm), tolerance according to DIN 2768. This will save you material and machining costs.

Flexible:

You can reduce your stock and save storage costs. Just order the quantity you need as we are able to deliver small quantities – also in bending quality and in solution heat treated condition - in a short period of time.

PRINT YOUR IDEAS:

HOVADUR® powder for additive manufacturing such as Selective Laser Melting, Laser Metal Deposition and Metal Injection Molding is available from stock in our high-quality copper alloys HOVADUR® CCZ and HOVADUR® CNCS in different grain fractions.

SLM 3-D printing of HOVADUR® copper alloys:

Parts produced by SLM (Selective Laser Melting) may be finished conventionally by machining in the same way as semi-finished rolled or forged materials. Please observe the contours which as a rule are executed more delicately.

Besides our alloys HOVADUR® CCZ and HOVADUR® CNCS already established in the market, we have extended our range to parts made of all other HOVADUR® alloys.

Possibilities / limits in the SLM process:

Ra 15 to Ra 16
In case of angular parts, up to Ra 60 at the bevels
Tolerances +/-0,3 mm
